Supreet Kaur Memorial Netball Tournament
Supreet Kaur was a cherished and core member of the PCSC team whose passion for netball, community and bringing people together left a lasting impact on everyone around her. After suddenly passing away in 2016, her legacy lives on through the events held in her memory and the team members and players she inspired, who now lead PCSC and continue to carry her spirit forward.
In 2017, the Punjabi Cultural and Sports Club community came together to honour the memory of our dear friend, sister and loved daughter, Supreet Kaur, through a special netball tournament celebrating her love of sport and community.
Supreet was a passionate advocate for sport and an active member of our community across many sporting activities. She believed in the importance of health, connection, participation and, above all, great sportsmanship.
The tournament was created as a way to keep that spirit alive — bringing people of all ages, genders and abilities together for a day of fun, friendship and friendly competition, while celebrating the incredible person Supreet was.
With ladies and mixed teams taking to the court, along with individual players joining teams, the day was a wonderful reflection of Supreet’s passion for bringing people together through sport.
More than a tournament, the event was a celebration of Supreet’s life, her love for netball and the lasting impact she had on those around her. It was a day filled with laughter, connection, healthy competition and plenty of community spirit — a fitting tribute to someone who gave so much to those around her.
We are grateful to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, supported and helped make the day possible. Your generosity and involvement helped us honour Supreet in the best way we could: together, as a community, doing what she loved.
Forever remembered. Forever part of our community.
